Smart Workout’s Personal Trainings include Sports Performance for Golf, Tennis, and Skiing; Body Conditioning for overall cardio and muscle strength; Boxing with our resident boxing pro; and privates in Pilates Reformer, Pole Dancing, and Yoga.

We’ll customize your Personal Training program, to include the combination of trainings that are of most interest to you.

Our Personal Training programs are goal oriented, and designed specifically for you. You are closely monitored throughout, and constantly challenged to push to the next level.

OUR TRAININGS


Body Conditioning

Body conditioning combines weight resistance and cardio modules, each of which differs from session to session to ensure a well rounded workout regime, and gradual increase in workload. Each module targets the body in different ways, using different toys to achieve desired goals. We incorporate kettlebells, resistance bands, the BOSU, stability balls, medicine balls, trampoline, the Katami Bar, free weights, spin bikes, boxing bags, the wedge, to name some.



Sports Strength

Golf trainings strengthen lower body, the back, upper body, and core, to improve swing distance. Body alignment and flexibility exercises help to improve swing accuracy. Our trainings incorporate use of the Golf Gym Power Swing Trainer.

Tennis trainings strengthen the arms and back, to increase the power of your serve, forehand, and backhand. Quick feet training improves speed and agility. Cardio conditioning increases endurance. We incorporate use of Airopes, to develop strength in the wrists and arms.

Skiing trainings strengthen the leg muscles, to enable quicker/tighter turns. Developing core strength adds control when using edges. Cardio conditioning increases endurance.



Boxing

Boxing training strengthens musculature of the arms, legs, and shoulders; improves speed, endurance, flexibility and reflexes. Boxing is an effective cardiovascular workout.
You'll learn the proper techniques for sparring, cross-punches, jabs, and upper cuts, employing punching bags and hand pads, all taught by our resident boxing pro.



Pilates Reformer

Experience the ultimate Pilates workout by incorporating the use of the Reformer, an apparatus specially designed to help achieve maximum results in Pilates.

The emphasis of Pilates conditioning is the "core", which targets all of the abdominal musculature, glutes, hips, inner thighs, and lower back muscles.

Training with the aid of the Pilates Reformer equipment, helps to shape long, strong, and seek muscles, and to improve balance and flexibility.



Yoga

Yoga is a therapy which helps you to become more aware of your body’s posture, alignment, and patterns of movement. It makes the body more flexible, and helps you to relax.

If you are new to yoga, personal trainings are the perfect way to get started. Physiological benefits of yoga include lubrication of the joints, ligaments, and tendons.

The Six Week Shape-Up

This package consists of 12 Personal Training Sessions, and 12 Small Group Exercise Classes.

At the first personal training session, 12 different tests will be given to determine baseline measures of muscle strength, endurance, cardio-respiratory strength, and fat to muscle ratio.

An interview will elicit exercise modality preferences; medical history, and fitness needs, and then goals will be set for the conclusion of the 6 week term. Then a schedule will be set for the rest of the week, which will include 2 classes (a resistance class, and a cardio class), and a personal training session.

The next 10 personal training sessions, which will be tailored to individual needs and preferences, will consist of a strength training module and a cardio module, each of which will differ from session to session, to ensure a totally rounded workout regime, and gradual increases in workload.

At the conclusion of each week, a schedule will be set for the succeeding week, consisting of 2 personal training sessions, and 2 classes. (for more information about our Small Group Exercise Classes click here )

At the last personal training session, the physical tests will be repeated, to measure changes in the baseline numbers, and to assess progress towards fitness goals.


The Rate for the 6-Week Shape-Up” is $1,200 which includes 12 personal training sessions and 12 exercise classes (6 of which can be Pilates Reformer)

If you should later decide to join Smart Workout, you would get a rebate of $350.

All exercise classes at Smart Workout are "small group" and limited to a maximum of 5 people.
